Dear Families and Friends,
We are pleased to share a school update and an invitation to participate in our 2017-18 Annual Fund Campaign. Our goal is $150,000 our theme this year is “Educating the Whole Human Being,” which has been a central tenet of Waldorf Education since it was founded 99 years ago.
Due to the generosity of seven current City of Lakes Waldorf School families, we are launching this year’s campaign with a $40,000 match! Your gift will be doubled, dollar-for-dollar up to our first $40,000 raised (a $50 gift will become $100, a $1000 gift will become $2000, etc.) if you contribute by December 31, 2017.
While “whole child” has entered the modern lexicon and most schools claim to educate towards wholeness, few schools have an educational approach that in both foundation and practice holds central the idea of the whole human being. In a world wrestling with the consequences of divisiveness, Waldorf education cultivates the unique human capacities in our students to see across and bridge divides, to discern what is true, and to reach out and offer a hand of cooperation and compassion. Never more needed, never more relevant – we are committed to seeing and nurturing the wholeness of each child, resulting in a sense of well-being, confidence, inner strength and hope. Help us fulfill our mission with a contribution to this year’s annual campaign.
Please give today to participate in this generous matching opportunity!
Thank you for supporting City of Lakes Waldorf School!
Sincerely,
Marti Stewart, Administrative Director
