A class for parent and their toddlers – Ages 21 to 42 months

Little Sprouts is a Waldorf-inspired parent & tot playgroup. It offers a time and a place to step back from the busy pace of daily life to share time with your child. You are invited to experience the warmth, wonder and unhurried rhythm of a morning in a Waldorf setting. Sing songs, learn verses and make friends as we wend our way through snack preparation, craft time, creative play time, circle time, and story time.

Registered children must be at least 21 months of age when the class begins.

Registration will begin on-line at 9 a.m. on September 4, 2012.

Little Sprouts Morning Rhythm

Prepare a nutritious and delicious snack, make a craft, engage in creative play time, participate in circle time of song and play, snack time and story time.

Little Sprouts Parent Orientation Meeting

Each session begins with the opportunity for new parents to attend a parent-only meeting. We recommend new parents attend an orientation meeting in order to:

  • Gain an understanding of the rhythm of the morning
  • Meet other parents
  • See the classroom
  • Meet the teacher
  • Address questions

2012-13 Little Sprouts Classes

Fall, winter and spring sessions of Little Sprouts classes will be offered.

Each session offers 4 class options: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday classes.

Each class is 2 hours long from 9:30-11:30 a.m. on the day of the week selected.

Classes run for 7 or 8 weeks per session as noted below.

Fall session 7 weeks—$180

***No classes the week of October 18 and October 29***

Begins the week of September 17, 2012

Ends the week of November 12, 2012

Parent Orientation Meeting: Thursday, September 13, 2012, 7-8 p.m.

Winter session 8 weeks—$210

***No class the week of February 18***

Begins the week of January 14, 2013

Ends the week of March 11, 2013

Parent Orientation Meeting: Thursday, January 10, 2013, 7-8 p.m.

Spring session 7 weeks—$180

Begins the week of April 8, 2013

Ends the week of May 20, 2013

Parent Orientation Meeting: Monday, April 8, 2013, 7-8 pm

The cost for a second child is $50. Siblings under 12 months are welcome to accompany at no additional charge.

Little Sprouts Registration

Registration for Little Sprouts for the 2012-13 school year will begin on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at 9 a.m. on-line on our website. Registration will be taken on a first-come, first-serve basis. 8 children with their parents or caretakers will be allowed to enroll in each class per session. Little Sprouts classes fill up quickly so we encourage parents to register early. Fees for the classes are $180 for the fall and spring 7-week sessions and $210 for the winter 8-week session. The cost for a second child is $50. Siblings under 12 months are welcome to accompany at no additional charge.

City of Lakes Waldorf School has contracted with TADS (Tuition Aid Data Services) to handle all registration and payments for the 2012-13 school year. Upon completing registration online, you will be prompted to choose to pay on-line or send in a check to TADS. If you wish to register in person instead of by computer, you may come into City of Lakes Waldorf School on or after 9 a.m. on September 4 for assistance with the registration process.
